Jim spent three years trying his hand at pro-football, drafted in 1953 by the Chicago Bears, where he played for the legendary George (Papa Bear) Halas, and a brief time with the Toronto Argonauts
Ron was a graduate of Kansas State University and a former NFL player for the Washington Redskins. He also played for the Toronto Argonauts for a short time then entered the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant in Fort Bliss, TX
