Obituary for Edward “Ted” Collins
Loving husband of Marg (Wraight). Son of the late Butch and Maude Collins. Father of Steven (Kali), David Collins (Lauren), and Kelly Collins. Grandpa of Jordan, Emma and Lily Collins. Brother of Doug Collins (Shirley). Uncle of Doug Collins, Tari, Peggy, Chrissy, Jodi and families. Brother-in-law of Lynn Wraight (John 1997). Uncle of Jeff Wraight (Victoria), Jana Bruner (Steve) and their families. Nephew of Evelyn Collins (Ted 2007) and Marion Ford (Bill). Cousin of Ted Collins (Tanya) and family; Martha Collins (Stuart), Rob McCraken (Sheila). Sadly, missed by Mary Collins, Mary Wright (Ed). Ted was a proud and multi-talented Patterson Panther athlete. He went to University of Detroit Mercy on a football scholarship. Drafted into the CFL, playing for the Ottawa Roughriders, Winnipeg Blue Bombers and winning the Grey Cup Championship in 1970 with the Montreal Alouettes. After football Ted worked at St. Clair College, then started his own business, Superior Sportswear. In 1994 Ted was inducted into The Windsor-Es Sports Hall Of Fame. As per Ted’s wishes cremation has taken place with a family gathering at a later date. Arrangements under the care of the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North Es.
