CFL Alumnus Dean Bandiera Passes

BANDIERA, Dean
1926-2020

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dean Bandiera on October 13, 2020. He is survived by his son John and his daughter-in-law Sylvia.

Dean was a native of Timmins Ontario. He attended Sir George Williams University where earned a BsC. Degree, and where he met his wife Beverly, who passed in 2014. He joined the Montreal Alouettes football team for their inaugural season in 1946, and he played in the 1953 Grey Cup game as a Winnipeg Blue Bomber. He also had a lengthy career as a pharmaceutical executive.

A private service will be held in Timmins at a later date.
