CFL Alumnus Arthur Felker Passes

Felker, Arthur Died peacefully December 5, 2011. Age 84 years. Beloved husband of Theadora “Teddie”. Loving father of Ann (Jonathan) Fischer of Greenville, Wisconsin, Kathryn (James) Povolo of Anchorage, Alaska, Steven (Audra) Felker of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Cherished “Grandpa Red” to Lauren, Joseph and Molly Fischer. Dear brother of Eugene Felker of Tempe, Arizona and Trish (Sam) Barion of Sun City, Arizona. Cherished “Uncle Art” to Bob (Marilyn), Stefanie and Gregg Novack, Matt and Jennifer Lahti. Dear brother-in-law of Marie Lahti. Dear son-in-law of Eleanor Hanson. Further loved by many family and friends. Art played both football and basketball for North Division High School in Milwaukee. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the army and was a 1st Cav. starter for the United States Army football team in Japan. While attending Marquette University, he was the Captain and voted All-American for the Marquette Football Team. He also played basketball for Marquette University. After graduation from Marquette University, he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers. Art also acted as a scout for the Dallas Cowboys. He was president of the Waukesha County Youth Hockey Association. Art retired after more than 40 years from Phoenix Mutual Insurance Company as a career agent. Memorial Gathering for family and friends Thursday, December 8, from 3-6 PM at the funeral home. “Art was a loving man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.”
