One of the Queen City’s most celebrated philanthropists, football great George Reed, once again spearheaded a successful fundraiser to help the disabled, disadvantaged and disengaged. The George Reed Foundation Mosaic Gala, presented by Wheatland Roofing, was held Dec. 4 at the Conexus Arts Centre.
The event included a cocktail reception, a five-course meal, wine, cocktails, entertainment and a silent auction. Brenda Rossow-Kimball spoke on behalf of the University of Regina and, as always, there was a message from Reed.
In 2014, Reed was recognized as Outstanding Philanthropist by the Association of fundraising Professionals, Regina Chapter.
